Delete Search

If you are a victim of domestic violence, you should be aware that your abuser may be able to track your internet activity. To be safe, please delete your internet history after you have viewed this site. To delete your viewing history, follow the steps below:

Chrome

  • Go to history
  • Check the box next to each item you want to have removed.
  • At the top right, click Delete.
  • Comfirm by pressing Remove.

Internet Explorer for Windows

  • Click on Tools in the Internet Explorer window menu bar.
  • Click on Internet Options, and a window will appear.
  • In the tab named General, click on the following buttons: Delete Cookies..., Delete files..., Clear history...
  • Under the Privacy tab, it is recommended to change the sliding bar all the way up to Block All Cookies. Please note that this may effect access to some sites that require cookies.
  • Click on Apply.
  • Click on OK.

Internet Explorer for Mac

  • Click on Internet Explorer in the File menu.
  • Click on Preferences.
  • Click on the Web Browser section of the Preferences window.
  • Click on Advanced.
  • Click on Clear History to clear the history.
  • Click on Empty Now to clear the cache.
  • Click on the Receiving Files section.
  • Click on Cookies.
  • Select all cookies (Apple + A) in the window, then click on the Delete button.
  • Change the When Receiving Cookies section to Never Accept.
  • Close the Preferences window.

Firefox for Windows

  • Click on Tools in the Firefox window menu bar.
  • Click on the Privacy padlock.
  • Click on the Clear All button at the bottom right portion of the window.
  • Click on OK.

Firefox for Mac

  • Click on Firefox in the File menu.
  • Click on Preferences.
  • Click on the Privacy padlock.
  • Click on the Settings... button on bottom of the Preferences window.
  • Under the Settings section, click on the Clear Private Data When Closing FireFox checkbox. Make sure that this is checked and click OK.
  • Close the Preferences window. Your web surfing data will now be destroyed when you close Firefox.

Safari for Mac

  • Click on Safari in the File menu.
  • Click on Preferences.
  • In the new window that appears, click on the Security padlock.
  • Check Accept Cookies: Never.
  • Close the Preferences window.
  • Click on Safari in the File menu.
  • Click Empty Cache...
  • Click Empty when the prompt appears.
  • Click on Safari in the File menu.
  • Click on Private Browsing. Click OK to surf the web without collecting information.
